Tolo

Tolo, primarily a fishing village has slowly evolved into a romantic resort. The bay has a lovely sandy beach that gives excellent facilities for all seaside sports: safe swimming, surfing, diving, paragliding, pedaloes, skiing and more recently small water motorcycles.

For those who enjoy good food, there are many tavernas and restaurants, each serving local dishes in addition to the usual Greek food and of course, good Greek wines, Retsina and Ouzo.

There is also a disco and a lot of bars within easy reach of the village.

Berthed in the harbour are two motor cruises (the Mantalena and Alkyonis), which cruise to the islands of Hydra, Spetses and Poros. There are also smaller boats that can take you to the isolated beaches for B.B.Q.

Tolo is also a good base from which to visit the numerous historical sites. The famous Greek theatre of Epidaurus: Olympia, Sparta, Mystras. The ancient cities of Corinth, Mycenae, Delphi, Athens and the elegant resort town of Nafplio (the first capital of Greece) – all accessible by bus, car, taxi, scooter or organised coach outing.

Tolo, then, has something for everyone. It is especially recommended for families and for the first-time visitor to Greece. However, whether on your first visit or your tenth, you will enjoy this excellent, friendly resort.
